The Lake

In the summer Lac Vert comes alive with activities. Families will find a clean and secure bathing place with blue flag beach. Amenities include aquapark, pedaloe/canoe hire, fishing (with permit), tennis court, basketball, beach volley ball, walking trails, childrens play park & cafe.

The Lake House is perfectly positioned, tucked away at the opposite end of the lake. Lakeside activities are a short 5 minute walk from the house.

Things to do in & around the local area

The Lake House is ideally situated to discover the delights of both the Lot & Dordogne Valleys. 

Visit the stunning medieval city of Rocamadour, discover the narrow cobbled streets of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie or take a leisurely stroll around the charming riverside village of La Roque-Gageac. The Valentre Bridge in Cahors is a masterpiece of medieval architecture. The spectacular Gouffre-de-Padirac & Grotte de Pech Merle caves are well worth visiting, and offer a welcome break on hot summer days. 

Canoe the Dordgne River. If you prefer a more active dayout for all the family take a trip down the Dordogne in a canoe. Take a picnic and pitch up on a secluded beach or stop off at one of the many riverside restaurants along the way. If you enjoy cyclying there are plenty quiet off road tracks to explore.

If that all sounds too energetic enjoy the gastronic delights of the local area. Peruse the french markets with their plentiful supply of fresh local produce and while away the day in a local cafe. If you like fine dining the michelin star Le Gindreau restaurant is well worth a visit, just 5 minutes drive away. Or maybe visit a local vineyard and sample the regions famous Malbec grape.
